Retired commander, U. S. Navy. Naval aviator. Flew multi-engine airplanes. Made two 10-month Mediterranean cruises on aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42) as assistant operations/ intelligence officer; visited Barcelona, Naples, Athens, Istanbul, Beirut, Gibraltar. Taught ground school in Pensacola, FL (2 years); presented 2-day seminars to stock brokers to prepare them to take the 4-hour National Commodity Futures examination (2 years). Author of two books on finance: "Getting Started in Futures," now in its 5th edition; and, "Getting Started in Exchange-traded Funds." Both published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. in New York. Worked as an advertising copywriter in two major agencies in New York and Baltimore (2 years). Wrote television commercials for Fritos Corn Chips (the "Frito Bandito") and Black & Decker power Tools. Received creative award for B&D TV commercial.
